We are a Gnostic community committed to:
1) Discovering, cultivating, and expressing the Divine Presence that is within all of us.
2) Exploring the rich historical tradition of Gnosticism and developing a modern Gnostic praxis.
3) Building a nurturing, affirming community, following the teaching of Jesus the Christ, who said, "A new commandment I give unto you, that ye love one another; even as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another."
4) Preserving and valuing the sacramental ministry in the traditional offices of Bishop, Priest, and Deacon, while recognizing the inherent equality of all bearers of the Divine Spark.
5) Speaking and acting against racism, sexism, homophobia, war, and all forms of oppression.
6) Working to serve the community around us, as a witness to the power and grace of Christ and Sophia.
7) Assisting in the cultivation of Gnosis by facilitating the growth and development of local Gnostic parishes and the formation of Gnostic clergy.
Getting involved
There are several ways that you can get involved with the Alexandrian Gnostic Church:
1) Local Gnostic parishes - If you're near a local parish, please join us for mass, study & meditation groups, and fellowship.
2) If you are part of a local gnostic circle or community and would like to affiliate with the Alexandrian Gnostic Church, contact us.
3) Start a local Gnostic circle - We'll help by supplying study materials, suggestions on how to run a regular meeting, and more. Contact us for details.
